Submissions to the Consulate section are open to writers in any country or in translation. Joyland only publishes short fiction, novel excerpts, and essays. We do like works between 1200 and 10,000 words, but going slightly under or over that range is fine. We encourage simultaneous submissions. Joyland pays authors for published work.
